Transition Area Lessons:

Receive private instruction on the best approaches

and methods to handling transitions on race day. The

lesson consists of a short lecture on the key points of

T1 and T2, instruction on how to best set-up your

equipment followed by a crawl-walk-run approach to

transition with a mock transition area.

CompuTrainerTM Analysis:

The CompuTrainer is one of the strongest training tools available to cyclists. A CT analysis session allows us to truly look at your power output being generated by you the rider. We have the ability to test for your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) or your Peak Power Output (PPO) depending on your training tools. With this information, we are able to determine your VO2 max power output and heart rate. The actual training session last for 1 hour.

                     Rates is $75 per hour

Heart Rate Zone Testing:

If you don’t own a power meter, the next best way to

set training zones on the bike is to use heart rate.

This field test can be done either indoors on a trainer

or outside with Coach Ryan. Following well

established protocols, the athlete will be put through

a 1 hour workout that will contain the 30 minute time

trial used to establish HR zones. The bottom line, this

workout hurts. Starting out at and maintaining the

proper pacing throughout the entire time trial is

essential to its accuracy... that is why it’s good to

have the coach with you to assist in pacing and

             motivation as needed!

                        Rates are:

                             (indoors)- $50 per test

                             (outdoors)- $75 per test

Power Testing:

The power meter is the single most important tool that a

triathlete can own when it comes to cycling. It’s so

             important, I would recommend a $1200 bike with a

power meter instead of a $5000 bike without one!

Training and racing with power gives the triathlete

instant feedback that is real and useful during a

training ride and/or race!  This field test can be done

either indoors on a trainer or outside with Coach

Ryan. Following well established protocols, the

athlete will be put through a 1 hour workout that will

be used to determine the triathletes

Functional Threshold Power (FTP), which all training

zones re then set off of. The bottom line, this workout

hurts. Starting out at and maintaining the proper

pacing throughout the entire time trial is essential to

its accuracy... that is why it’s good to have the coach

with you to assist in pacing and motivation as

            needed!

                        Rates are:

                             (indoors)- $60 per test

                             (outdoors)- $85 per test
